Abida vasconica is a type of small land snail that breathes air. It's a mollusc from the family Chondrinidae. This special snail can only be found in northern Spain.
Where Abida vasconica Lives
Abida vasconica lives only in the central Cantabrian Mountains in northern Spain. You can find it from Asturias and León in the west. It also lives in Bizkaia and Álava in the east. These snails prefer to live on the northern sides of mountains.
Abida vasconica's Home and Habits
Abida vasconica likes to live in places with limestone soil. You can often find them under rocks or in leaf litter. They also hide inside small cracks in rocks. These snails can even be seen on tall, straight rock walls. They prefer areas that are very humid or damp.
