Abigail Louise Johnston (born November 16, 1989), known as Abby Johnston, is a talented former Olympic diver from the United States. She is best known for winning a silver medal at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London. She competed in the synchronized 3-meter springboard event. Abby also represented her country at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio.

Abby Johnston was born in Columbus, Ohio, in 1989. She grew up in Upper Arlington, Ohio. Abby has two sisters, Adrienne and Leah. Her parents are David and Elaine Johnston.

Education and Career

Abby attended Duke University for her college education. She earned her bachelor's degree there. While competing in the 2016 Olympics, she was also a medical student. She studied at the Duke University School of Medicine. Abby graduated as a medical doctor in 2018.

Abby Johnston has achieved great success in her diving career. She competed in two Olympic Games. Her dedication and hard work led to an Olympic medal.

2012 London Olympics

At the 2012 Summer Olympics in London, Abby won a silver medal. She competed in the Women's synchronized 3 metre springboard event. Her diving partner was Kelci Bryant. In synchronized diving, two divers perform at the same time. They try to make their movements look exactly alike.

2016 Rio Olympics

Abby also competed at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro. In Rio, she participated in the individual 3-meter springboard event. This shows her skill in both solo and team diving.
