Abu Nasr Sa'd ibn Ali ibn Yusuf was an important ruler of the Emirate of Granada. This was a Muslim kingdom in Al-Andalus, which is now part of Spain. He was part of the Nasrid dynasty, a powerful family that ruled Granada for a long time.
Abu Nasr Sa'd was also known by his special royal name, al-Musta'in bi-llah. This name means "he who looks for help to God." Christian writers of the time called him "Ciriza" or "Mulay Zad."
Sultan of Granada
Abu Nasr Sa'd ruled the Emirate of Granada twice. His first time as sultan was from 1455 to 1462. He took over from Muhammad XI of Granada. After his first reign, Yusuf V of Granada became sultan.
Then, Abu Nasr Sa'd became sultan again. His second reign was from 1463 to 1464. He ruled after Yusuf V and before Abu'l-Hasan Ali of Granada. He passed away in 1465.
