Acobamba is a town located in the country of Peru. It serves as the main town, or capital, of the Acobamba district. This district is part of the Acobamba Province, which is found in the Department of Huancavelica region of Peru.
According to a count done in 2017, about 8,980 people live in Acobamba. The town is quite high up, located at an elevation of 3,423 meters (about 11,230 feet) above sea level. The current mayor, who is the leader of the town, is Rolando Vargas Mendoza.

Acobamba has a unique climate because of its high location in the mountains. The weather here is generally cool, but it changes throughout the year.
