Adam Mensah Osei Afriyie (born 4 August 1965) is a British politician. He was a Member of Parliament (MP) for Windsor from 2005 to 2024. He is a member of the Conservative Party.

Adam Afriyie was born on 4 August 1965 in Wimbledon, London. His father was from Ghana and his mother was English. He grew up in Peckham, a part of London.

Becoming an MP for Windsor
At the 2005 general election, Adam Afriyie was elected as the MP for Windsor. He won with 49.5% of the votes.
He was the first black MP for the Conservative Party. He has said he sees himself as "post-racial". He gave his first speech in Parliament on 23 May 2005.
Roles in Parliament
In Parliament, he was part of the Science and Technology Committee. He also joined the Children, Schools and Families Committee. From 2010 to 2017, he led the Parliamentary Office of Science and Technology.
He was re-elected as MP for Windsor in 2010, 2015, 2017, and 2019. Each time, he won with a strong number of votes.

In 2013, Adam Afriyie voted against the Marriage (Same Sex Couples) Bill. He was concerned about religious freedom. He also felt that straight civil partnerships should be allowed.
