Adam Stanger is an American musician. He is best known as the bass player for the band Comes with the Fall. He has also played in other bands like Big Hate, Melt, and The Young Royals.
Adam Stanger has been making music since the 1990s. He plays the bass guitar, which is a very important instrument in rock and metal music.
Big Hate
In the 1990s, Adam Stanger started a band called Big Hate. He formed it with his brother, Brian Stanger, who was the singer and guitarist. Stephen Panas played the drums.
The band moved from New York to Georgia. There, another guitarist named Rusty Cobb joined them. Big Hate released two albums: Big Hate in 1995 and You're Soaking in It in 1998. Both albums were released through Flip Records.
Comes with the Fall
In 1999, Adam Stanger helped form a new band called Comes with the Fall. This happened in Atlanta, Georgia. The other members were William DuVall (singer-guitarist), Nico Constantine (guitarist), and Bevan Davies (drummer).
The band recorded their first album, Comes with the Fall, in Atlanta. Then, they moved to Los Angeles. Their self-titled album was released in 2000 through DuVall's DVL Records.
In 2001, Comes with the Fall was chosen to open for Jerry Cantrell's solo tour. Jerry Cantrell is a famous musician from the band Alice in Chains. Sometimes, Adam Stanger and Bevan Davies also played as Jerry Cantrell's backing band. This happened when Cantrell's usual bass player and drummer were busy.
Comes with the Fall toured with Jerry Cantrell throughout 2002. They also toured with other big bands like Creed and Nickelback. During this time, Comes with the Fall often played their own show and then backed Jerry Cantrell at the same concert.
The band's second album, The Year is One, came out in 2001. It received good reviews. In 2002, Comes with the Fall continued to tour with Jerry Cantrell. They supported his second solo album, Degradation Trip.
In 2002, Comes with the Fall also released a live album called Live 2002. A live DVD, Live Underground 2002, followed in late 2003. The band planned to release a new album by 2004.
In February 2007, Comes with the Fall announced their first tour in over three years. They played songs from their EP, The Reckoning, and their new album. The album, Beyond the Last Light, was released later that year.
Melt and The Young Royals
While touring with Jerry Cantrell and Comes with the Fall in 2002, Adam Stanger met other musicians. He met singer-guitarist Eric Bradley and drummer Josh Howser. They formed a new band called Melt.
With the addition of guitarist Jason Saracco, Melt released a five-song CD in 2005. It was called Color the Sky. In 2007, the band changed their name to The Young Royals. They released their first full album, Day of Truths, that same year.
