Dr. Adejoke started her studies at Obafemi Awolowo University in Ile-Ife, Nigeria. She earned two degrees in nursing there in 1991 and 1998. Later, in 2001, she moved to the United States to continue her education. She earned her Ph.D. degree from Michigan State University in 2007.
While studying, Dr. Adejoke was also a special scholar. She was a Robert Wood Johnson Foundation Nurse Faculty Scholar at the Calvin College Department of Nursing (CCDON). This program helps nursing professors grow their skills.
