Ade Elizabeth "Adel" Weir (born 29 October 1983) is a professional squash player from South Africa. She was born in Evander. Adel is known for her skills on the squash court.
Her highest world ranking in women's squash was number 53. This achievement happened in January 2011. She has also been ranked as high as number 4 in South Africa.

Adel Sammons joined the WISPA tour in 2006. WISPA is a group for professional women squash players. She competed in many events around the world.
Her Squash Journey
Adel's best result on the WISPA tour was reaching the semi-finals. This happened at the South Australia Open in 2008. She played against Amelia Pittock in that match.
Before becoming a professional, Adel played for the University of Johannesburg (UJ) squash team. Her team won four South African University National titles. These wins were from 2002 to 2005.
Adel trained and coached squash in Doha, Qatar, for eight years. Before that, she trained and coached in Guildford, in the UK. She started her professional career in 2005 after graduating from the University of Johannesburg.
Family Life
Adel is the daughter of Gerty and Alwyn Weir. Her father is an engineer. Her mother works as a school teacher.
She has two brothers, Alwin and Ajay. She also has a sister named Michelle. Adel studied sports management at the University of Johannesburg.
