Adele's first marriage was to Herbert IV, Count of Vermandois. A Count was like a local ruler or a lord who managed a large area of land. Herbert IV was the Count of Vermandois, a region in France.

Second Marriage and Notable Children

After her first marriage, Adele of Valois married again. Her second husband was Theobald III, Count of Blois. Theobald III was also a very important Count, ruling over the areas of Blois, Chartres, and Troyes.
