Becoming a Writer
Adeline Foo studied at New York University Tisch School of the Arts, Asia. She started writing picture books in 2006. So far, she has written 16 books. Twelve of these are picture books for younger readers.
Her most popular book series is The Diary of Amos Lee. The first book was published in 2009. It is written in simple and easy-to-understand language. Adeline Foo received an award for new writers and illustrators. This award helped her publish 13 picture books.

Before becoming a full-time writer, Adeline Foo worked in public relations and advertising for 15 years. She is married and has three children.
Awards and Popular Books
Adeline Foo's book, The Diary of Amos Lee: I Sit, I Write, I Flush!, won a special award in 2009. It was called the Red Dot award for "Best Junior Fiction." This award was given by the International School Libraries Network in Singapore.
Another book, The Diary of Amos Lee: I'm Twelve, I'm Tough, I Tweet!, won second place in the Popular Readers’ Choice Award in 2011.
The Diary of Amos Lee series, published by Epigram Books, has been sold in many countries. These include India, China, Indonesia, Slovakia, and the Czech Republic. The books were also made into a television show in 2012. This TV show led to new stories about the characters. A game mentioned in one of the books was even turned into a game app for iPhones and iPads. By 2013, almost 200,000 copies of the series had been sold around the world.
