Adelén's Music Journey
Starting Out: Melodi Grand Prix
Adelén first became known in 2013. She took part in Norway's national music competition, Melodi Grand Prix. This competition chooses who will represent Norway in the big Eurovision Song Contest.
Adelén sang a Spanish-inspired song called "Bombo". Even though she came in second place, her song was a huge hit!
"Bombo" Becomes a Hit
After her performance, "Bombo" quickly became very popular in Norway. It went straight to number 2 on the Norwegian music charts.
The song also won two special awards: the OGAE Second Chance Contest 2013 and the Eurodanceweb Award. It even got the highest score ever in the Eurodanceweb Award's history!
New Songs and Big Stages
In 2013, Adelén signed with a famous music manager, Simon Fuller. She then released another song called "Baila Conmigo".
A year later, in 2014, Adelén recorded a song called "Olé". This song was part of the official album for the 2014 FIFA World Cup, a huge soccer event! "Olé" quickly became number 1 on the Norwegian iTunes chart.
More Music and Spanish Roots
Adelén continued to release new music. In 2015, she shared "Spell On Me," and in 2016, "Wild Like Me." She also released "Go Home" and "Big Bad Bitter" in 2017.
In 2018, she joined Sony Music Norway. She released "What's Next," which showed off her Spanish heritage. She also worked with the Colombian group Kapla y Miky on a song called "Beat." Another catchy song with a Latin beat, "Somewhere We Can Talk," came out in 2019.
In 2021, Adelén released the emotional pop song "Jaded." She followed it with a dance version and other singles like "Safety Light" and "Obsessed."
