Adesua Etomi-Wellington, born on February 22, 1988, is a talented Nigerian actress and businesswoman. She is widely known as Adesua Etomi. She started her acting career in movies with Knocking On Heaven's Door in 2014. Since then, she has appeared in many films and won several awards, including the 2016 Africa Magic Viewers Choice Awards.

Early Life and Education
Adesua Etomi was born in Owerri, Imo State, Nigeria. She is the youngest of three children. Her father is a soldier from the Esan people in Edo State. Her mother is an engineer from the Yoruba people.
Adesua went to Corona School in Victoria Island, Lagos. Later, she attended Queen's College. When she was 13, Adesua moved to the United Kingdom. In 2004, she earned a diploma in physical and theatre art from the City College Coventry. She continued her studies at the University of Wolverhampton in 2006, where she focused on arts and performance.
Acting Career and Achievements
Adesua Etomi has starred in many popular films. These include The Arbitration, The Wedding Party, and Falling. Her role in Falling helped her win the 2016 Africa Magic Viewers' Choice Award for Best Actress in a Drama.
She also appeared in films like A Soldier's Story (2015) and Out of Luck (2015). In 2016, she was in Couple of Days. Adesua played the character Shiela in the fourth and fifth seasons of Shuga. This TV show teaches about preventing HIV/AIDS.
In June 2016, Adesua began playing Amaka Obiora in the crime series LasGidi Cops. Amaka was an undercover police officer. Adesua was also featured on Vogue magazine's list of 14 global superstars. In February 2022, she released her first song called ‘So Natural’. In October 2023, she launched her beauty brand, Sanaa Beauty, with Jemima Osunde.
Personal Life and Family

Adesua Etomi got engaged to Banky W in February 2017. They had their traditional wedding on November 19, 2017. A court wedding followed on November 20, and their white wedding was held in Cape Town, South Africa, on November 25, 2017.
In early January 2021, Adesua and Banky W welcomed their first son, Hazaiah Wellington. In April 2021, they shared their journey of starting a family at the Waterbrook church. In 2024, the couple announced on Instagram that they had welcomed their second child.
Adesua was also recognized for helping the daughter of Nollywood actress Iretiola Doyle with bullying issues. In March 2025, Adesua Etomi openly shared her experience with a severe pregnancy-related condition. Her honesty helped raise awareness about the challenges women face with such illnesses.
