Adolphus Busch III (born February 10, 1891 – died August 29, 1946) was an important American businessman. He led the famous Anheuser-Busch brewing company, known for making beer. He was the president and CEO of the company from 1934 to 1946. This was a challenging time, as it included the years of World War II.

Adolphus Busch III was born on February 10, 1891, in St. Louis, Missouri. His father was August A. Busch Sr.. His father also led Anheuser-Busch before him, from 1913 to 1934. Adolphus's mother was Alice Ziesemann.
He was named after his grandfather, Adolphus Busch. His grandfather was the person who first started the Anheuser-Busch company. Adolphus III had four brothers and sisters. One of his brothers was August A. "Gussie" Busch Jr..
His Career
Adolphus Busch III joined his family's business, the Anheuser-Busch Company. He helped grow their part of the business that made baker's yeast. Under his leadership, this part of the company became the biggest in the country.
He became the president of Anheuser-Busch in 1934. He stayed in this important role until 1946. As president, he was in charge of all the company's operations.

Adolphus Busch III was married two times during his life. His first wife was Florence McRhea Lambert. They had one daughter together, named Marie Eleanor Busch. Marie later married Herbert D. Condie Jr.
His second wife was Catherine Milliken Bowen. With Catherine, he had another daughter, Sallie Marie Busch. Sallie later married Kenneth M. Wheeler Jr. Adolphus Busch III passed away on August 29, 1946. He was 55 years old when he died in St. Louis, Missouri.
