History of the Ingalsbe House
The house was built by a couple named Adolphus and Sarah Ingalsbe. They originally came from New York City. The Ingalsbes moved to Columbus after they found success during the California Gold Rush. This was a time when many people traveled to California hoping to find gold. In 1875, the house was made much bigger. They added more rooms and made it look even grander.
