Adrian Stoughton (1556–1614) was an English politician who lived a long time ago. He was from a place called Stoughton in Surrey, and also lived near Chichester in Sussex.
Adrian Stoughton was the son of Thomas Stoughton, who was also a Member of Parliament (MP). His brother, Laurence Stoughton, was an MP too. Adrian studied law at a famous school called the Inner Temple. In 1587, he officially became a lawyer. From 1600, he served as the Recorder of Chichester. This meant he was a main legal officer and judge for the city.
