Adventure Time: Distant Lands facts for kids
Adventure Time: Distant Lands is a special series of four hour-long animated shows. These specials are based on the popular American cartoon Adventure Time. That show was created by Pendleton Ward and first aired on Cartoon Network from 2010 to 2018.
These new specials are made by Cartoon Network Studios and Frederator Studios. They were released on HBO Max, starting on June 25, 2020.
The original Adventure Time series follows the exciting adventures of Finn, a human boy, and his best friend and adopted brother, Jake. Jake is a magical dog who can change his shape and size whenever he wants. The Distant Lands specials also feature other beloved characters like Princess Bubblegum, Marceline the Vampire Queen, and BMO.

About the Specials

The final special is called "Together Again." This special brings Finn and Jake back together. They go on their most important adventure yet. It explores their strong friendship and what it means to be heroes.
Production and Release
The Distant Lands specials were announced after the main Adventure Time series ended. Fans were excited to see more stories from this unique world. The specials were created specifically for the streaming service HBO Max. This allowed for longer, more detailed stories than regular TV episodes.
