Adventure Wonderland is a fun family theme park located in Hurn, near Bournemouth, in the United Kingdom. It's a great place for families with children up to about 12 years old. The park is inspired by the famous book Alice in Wonderland by Lewis Carroll. You might even see characters like Alice, the Mad Hatter, the Queen of Hearts, and Mr. Rabbit walking around! They also perform in theatre shows throughout the day.
The park also has an indoor play area called Wild Thing. This area is open all year. It's part of the main park during the summer. In the winter, you can visit Wild Thing on its own. Adventure Wonderland often hosts special character events. They also have exciting Halloween and Christmas themed events during those seasons.
Explore the Giant Hedge Maze
One of the cool attractions at Adventure Wonderland is its huge hedge maze. It's shaped like an octagon and was designed by Adrian Fisher in 1991. The maze is about 240 feet by 240 feet. It uses 5,200 beech bushes to create its paths.
How Big is the Maze?
The maze has 1.75 miles of paths to explore. That's a lot of walking! It is said to be the third largest maze in the United Kingdom. To solve the maze, you generally follow a "left turn" rule. This means you keep turning left whenever you can.
