Adventures of the Seaspray was an exciting TV show from Australia that first aired in 1967. It was all about a journalist who had lost his wife. He decided to travel across the huge Pacific Ocean with his children on a sailing boat. They met new people and had many adventures along the way!

Meet the Crew!

The show featured a small group of main characters who sailed together on the Seaspray.

The Wells Family

  • Dan Wells (played by Walter Brown): He was the dad and the captain of the 'Seaspray'. He appeared in all 32 episodes.
  • Mike Wells (played by Gary Gray): Mike was Dan's son. He was in every episode, including the pilot.
  • Susan Wells (played by Susanne Haworth): Susan was Dan's daughter. She also appeared in every episode.
  • Noah Wells (played by Rodney Pearlman): Noah was another one of Dan's sons. He joined the adventures for 9 episodes.

Other Characters

  • Willyum (played by Leone Lesinawai): Willyum was an important character who appeared in every episode.
  • Inspector Dales (played by Paul Stockman): This character appeared in 2 episodes.

The Real Seaspray Boat

Did you know that the actual boat used in the TV series had a special connection to one of the actors?

Who Owned the Boat?

Leone Lesinawai, the actor who played Willyum, was actually the owner of the Seaspray boat! He rented his boat to the TV company for filming. Because he owned the boat, he also got the chance to play the supporting role of Willyum in the show.

Where is the Seaspray Now?

Today, the Seaspray boat is still sailing! You can find it near a place called Nadi in the Fiji Islands. It's now used for fun tourist cruises. People can take trips on it to visit nearby islands, just like the characters did in the TV show.
