Ross-Emmanuel Bayeto, known as Afro B, is a British DJ, singer, and songwriter. He was born on February 25, 1993. Afro B is famous for his song "Drogba (Joanna)". This song was very popular. It reached number 23 on the US Billboard R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay chart. It also earned a Gold award from the British Phonographic Industry (BPI). The song even started a fun dance trend called the "Drogba Challenge."
Afro B also created a music style called "Afrowave." This style mixes hip-hop, dancehall, and Afrobeat sounds. You can hear him on his Saturday night show on Capital Xtra radio. This show is available across most of the UK.
Early Life and Music Beginnings
Ross-Emmanuel Bayeto was born in south London. His parents came from Ivory Coast and were Akan people. He was born on February 25, 1993.
When he was in secondary school, St Paul's Academy, he learned how to play the piano. He was part of a music group called the All Star Skankers. Later, he started working as a DJ. He played music in a London club named NW10.
