Aghasadyg Aghaali oglu Garaybeyli (Azerbaijani: Ağasadıq Gəraybəyli) was a well-known actor from Azerbaijan. He was born on March 15, 1897, in Shamakhi and passed away on December 5, 1988, in Baku. He is remembered for his many roles in plays and movies.
Life Story and Career
Aghasadyg Garaybeyli was born in the city of Shamakhi. After a big earthquake in 1902, his family moved to Baku. He became an orphan when he was young and was raised by a kind foster family.
Even while he was still in school, Aghasadyg loved acting. He joined drama clubs where he learned from famous actors like Huseyn Arablinski. His first time performing on stage was in 1917.
In 1921, a famous composer named Uzeyir Hajibeyov helped him take professional acting classes. This was also the year Aghasadyg got married. Over his long career, he played more than 200 different characters. These roles were in both plays on stage and in movies. He also used his voice to act in many films.
From 1933 until the end of his life, Aghasadyg Garaybeyli worked at the Azerbaijan State Drama Theatre. This was a very important theatre. In 1940, he received a special award called "People's Artist of Azerbaijan." This award showed that he was one of the best actors in the country.
Aghasadyg Garaybeyli died in Baku in 1988, just a few months before his 92nd birthday. He left behind a great legacy in Azerbaijani acting.
