Aguas Nuevas is a small village in Albacete, a region called Castile-La Mancha in Spain. It is part of the bigger city of Albacete. In 2023, about 1,968 people lived there, according to official numbers.

How Aguas Nuevas Started

Aguas Nuevas is a fairly new village. It was created in the 1960s as part of a special government plan. These new places were called "settlement villages." The idea was to help people farm the land better. Aguas Nuevas was built to be mostly a farming town.

Where is Aguas Nuevas?

Aguas Nuevas is located very close to the Albacete-Los Llanos Airport and the Los Llanos Air Base. It is southwest of the city of Albacete. It's only about 8 kilometers (5 miles) from the main city. You can get there by following the CM-3203 road. It sits between the villages of El Salobral and Santa Ana. Santa Ana is only about 5 kilometers (3 miles) away.

What Aguas Nuevas Looks Like

Even though farming is not as important as it used to be, Aguas Nuevas still has a special look. It has wide, open spaces and houses that are painted white. Many homes used to have areas for crops and farm animals. There are also many green areas around the village.

In the village, you can visit the local church. It has a beautiful front with blue and white tiles. Its tall bell tower can be seen from far away across the Albacete plains. There is also an old building used for village offices. It has white and blue decorations. You can also see a statue of San Isidro Labrador, who is the patron saint of farmers. There are also old stone fountains and watering holes.
