Awila means grandmother (borrowed from the Spanish word abuela). Qhincha can mean bad luck or unlucky, and mach'ay means cave.

This special site is located in the Huánuco Region, within the Huamalíes Province, in the Singa District. You can find it on a mountain called Ocpay, which is southwest of a village named Singa. It sits at a high elevation, about 3,853 meters (12,641 feet) above sea level!
