Aidy Bryant is an American actress and comedian. She was born on May 7, 1987. Aidy is best known for being a cast member on the TV show Saturday Night Live (SNL). She was on the show for ten seasons, from 2012 to 2022. For her work on SNL, she was nominated for three big awards called Primetime Emmy Awards.
Aidy has also used her voice for characters in animated shows like Danger & Eggs and Human Resources. She also played the main role in the TV show Shrill. She helped write and produce Shrill too, and was nominated for another Emmy Award for it.

Early Life and Education
Aidy Bryant was born in Phoenix, Arizona. Her mom owns a shop there. Aidy has one brother. She went to Xavier College Preparatory and finished in 2005. When she was younger, her parents took her to special acting classes called improv workshops.
After high school, she went to Columbia College in Chicago. She studied comedy there and earned her degree in 2009. This college program was created with a famous comedy theater called The Second City.
Aidy's Career Journey
After college, Aidy toured with a musical improv group. Soon, she was asked to join The Second City, a very famous comedy theater. She also performed at other theaters like iO Chicago and the Annoyance Theatre. She was a writer and performer in some of their shows.
Joining Saturday Night Live
Aidy Bryant first appeared on Saturday Night Live on September 15, 2012. She started as a "featured player," which means a new cast member. In her second season, she became a "repertory player," which is a more permanent role.
In 2013, Aidy had a repeating role on the show Comedy Bang! Bang!. She also made a quick appearance in the movie The Amazing Spider-Man 2. She has been a guest on other TV shows like Broad City, Documentary Now!, and Girls.
In 2014, Aidy and some other SNL cast and writers were nominated for an Emmy Award. This was for a song and music video sketch called "Home for the Holiday (Twin Bed)." In 2015, she won an EWwy award for her acting in a comedy series.
Other Projects and Shrill
In 2016, Aidy had a repeating role in the series Horace and Pete. In 2017, she voiced the main character, D.D. Danger, in the animated series Danger & Eggs. In 2018, she was nominated for another Emmy Award for her supporting role on Saturday Night Live.
In 2019, Aidy starred in the Hulu series Shrill. She was also a co-writer and co-executive producer for the show. She worked very long hours, sometimes 22-hour days, doing both Shrill and Saturday Night Live. Shrill ran for three seasons and ended in May 2021. Aidy had planned to leave SNL earlier, but the COVID-19 pandemic made her decide to stay for one more "normal" year, which ended with the 2021-2022 season.
In 2021, Aidy signed a deal with Universal Television. She also voiced a character named Emmy on the animated series Human Resources. This show is a spin-off from another animated series called Big Mouth. Human Resources started in March 2022.
In October 2022, Aidy directed a music video for a country music duo called Plains. In February 2024, she hosted the Independent Spirit Awards, which celebrate independent films. People praised her hosting skills. She is set to host the awards again in 2025.
Aidy is also going to star in a new show called Lonely Hearts Club on the Peacock streaming service.

- Li'l Baby Aidy, a fun version of herself in the show's music videos. She was called "Li'l Baby" because she was the youngest female cast member at the time.

- An unnamed girl who appeared in funny movie scenes. She was always unaware of the grown-up nature of the situations.

Personal Life
When Aidy was growing up, she sometimes felt unsure about herself. But acting and doing improv comedy helped her become more confident.
On April 28, 2018, Aidy Bryant married comedian Conner O'Malley. He used to be a writer for Late Night with Seth Meyers. They first met in 2008 when they were both performing at the Annoyance Theatre in Chicago. They got engaged in 2016.
