Aisha Hinds (born November 13, 1975) is an American actress who has starred in many television shows, stage plays, and films. She is known for her strong supporting roles in TV series like The Shield, True Blood, and Under the Dome. In 2016, she played the important civil rights activist Fannie Lou Hamer in the movie All the Way. She also played Harriet Tubman in the TV drama Underground. Aisha Hinds was born in New York, New York. She started her acting career on television in 2003 with a role in the show NYPD Blue. In the early 2000s, she had a recurring role as Annie Price in The Shield. She also made guest appearances in many other well-known TV shows. These included Crossing Jordan, Boston Legal, Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, and Desperate Housewives.
Rising to Prominence in Television
Aisha Hinds became a regular cast member in two ABC series. These were Invasion (from 2005 to 2006) and Detroit 1-8-7 (from 2010 to 2011). She also had important recurring roles in shows like Dollhouse, HawthoRNe, and the popular vampire series True Blood.
In 2013, Hinds joined the cast of the CW series Cult. After that show ended, she was cast in the CBS series Under the Dome. This show was based on a book by Stephen King. She was a regular cast member for the first season.
