Aisha Sabatini Sloan is an American writer. She was born and grew up in Los Angeles. Her writing often explores topics like race and current events. She also connects these ideas with art, movies, and pop culture.

Aisha studied English literature at Carleton College. She then earned a Master of Arts (MA) degree from the Gallatin School of Individualized Study at NYU. Later, she received a Master of Fine Arts (MFA) in Creative Nonfiction from the University of Arizona.

Her first collection of essays, The Fluency of Light: Coming of Age in a Theater of Black and White, came out in 2013. In 2017, her essay collection Dreaming of Ramadi in Detroit was published. It won the 1913 Open Prose Contest. Her 2021 essay, Borealis, won a special award for its unique writing.
