History of Aladdin's Eatery
Aladdin's Eatery was started in 1994 by a couple named Fady and Sally Chamoun. Since then, it has grown into a very successful chain of restaurants.
Fady Chamoun came to the US from Lebanon in 1972. He worked at Little Caesars pizza while studying at the University of Michigan. Over the next twenty years, he worked his way up at Little Caesars, even managing many restaurants. He later sold his share to start something new. With the money he had, he helped open the first Aladdin's Eatery in Lakewood, Ohio.
By 2004, the restaurant chain had grown to 17 locations. Fady Chamoun even won an award for being a great business owner that year. To make sure all his restaurants had fresh ingredients, Fady also started Jasmine's Bakery in Cleveland in 1997. This bakery supplied all the Aladdin's Eatery locations.
In 2013, the chain had grown to 30 restaurants across 5 different states in the US.
