Alan Maurice Averill (also known as A.A. Nemtheanga) was born on August 26, 1975. He is an Irish musician. He is best known as the singer for the metal band Primordial. This band plays a mix of folk and black metal music. Alan has also worked on other music projects. These include bands like Void of Silence, Blood Revolt, and Twilight of the Gods.

Life and Music Career

Alan Averill grew up in Sutton, a part of Dublin, Ireland. He went to Mount Temple Comprehensive School. In August 1991, Alan saw an advertisement from a band looking for a singer. He joined them, and that band became Primordial.

He was also the singer for a doom metal band called Void of Silence. He sang on their third album, Human Antithesis. He left the band in 2009.

Alan traveled to Canada to record songs for Blood Revolt. This was for their first album, Indoctrine. The album was released in 2010.

He also leads a band called Twilight of the Gods. This band started as a way to play tribute songs by the band Bathory. The band includes other talented musicians. Their first album, Fire on the Mountain, came out in 2013.

Alan also works in other parts of the music world. In 2008, he earned a degree in Journalism. He writes for Zero Tolerance magazine. In 2010, he started working for Metal Blade Records. He helps find new artists for them. He also created his own record label called Poison Tongue Records.
