Alan David Halsall is an English actor. He is very well known for playing the character Tyrone Dobbs in the popular TV show Coronation Street. He has been in this show since 1998.

Early Life and School
Alan Halsall was born on August 11, 1982. He grew up in a place called Walkden, Salford, in England. When he was younger, he went to Walkden High School.
His Acting Journey
Alan Halsall started acting in Coronation Street in November 1998. But before that, he appeared in several other TV shows. These included Children's Ward, Heartbeat, and Hetty Wainthropp Investigates. He also acted in a four-part series for kids called Matt's Million.
In 2013, Alan won a special award for his acting. He received the Outstanding Serial Drama Performance award at the National Television Awards for his role in Coronation Street.
More recently, in November 2024, Alan Halsall joined the show I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here! as a contestant. This show takes place in the jungle. He was the seventh person to leave the show, finishing in sixth place.

Alan Halsall was married to actress Lucy-Jo Hudson. She also used to be on Coronation Street. They met while working on the show and started dating in 2005. They got married in 2009.
In 2013, they announced they were going to have a baby. Their daughter, Sienna-Rae, was born in September 2013. The couple later divorced in 2018.
In November 2023, Alan took a short break from Coronation Street. This was because he needed an operation on his knee. Alan Halsall is also a vegetarian.
