Albion is a small town in Jackson County, Wisconsin, in the United States. In the year 2000, about 1,093 people lived there. A small community called Disco is also part of the town of Albion.
History of Albion
Albion was the very first "township" in Jackson County. A township is like an area of land that was set up for people to live in and govern. At first, Albion covered the entire county! Later, as more people moved in, new towns were created from parts of Albion. For example, the town of Adams was formed from a piece of Albion in 1938.
There was once a place called Charter Oak Mills in Albion. It used to be a busy spot, but now it's a "ghost town," meaning no one lives there anymore.
