Alder Branch is a small place in Sevier County, Tennessee, in the United States. It's called an unincorporated community. This means it's not officially a city or town with its own local government. You can get there by taking State Route 338. It's located just outside the city of Sevierville.
The area gets its name from the Alder Branch Baptist Church. This church was started way back in 1836. The church itself was named after a small stream, also called Alder Branch, that flows through the area.
A famous local Baptist preacher named William Atchley was a member of this church. He gave a part of his land to the Alder Branch Baptist Church and its cemetery. He is buried there today.
