Aldo Vargas, known as Aldo Ranks, is a famous musician from Panama. He sings and writes songs in a style called reggae en Español, which is a mix of reggae music with Spanish lyrics. He also makes reggaeton music.
Aldo Ranks started his music journey in 1992. For many years, he was known as one of the youngest and most talented rappers in Panama. He worked with popular music producers like El Chombo and DJ Pablito. They helped him create successful albums such as Cuentos de la Cripta (which means "Tales from the Crypt") and La Mafia. Later, he joined the music company Panama Music.

Aldo Ranks' Music Journey
Starting Big
In 1998, Aldo Ranks began sharing his music with the world. His songs from the album Cuentos de la Cripta became very popular. They were top sellers in many countries, including Costa Rica, Nicaragua, El Salvador, Honduras, Guatemala, Colombia, Venezuela, Peru, and Ecuador.
Around 2000, Aldo Ranks continued working on the Cuentos de la Cripta album. He used parts of other songs, like "Orinoco Flow", to create his unique sound.
New Songs and Tours
In 2002, Aldo Ranks released more hit songs. These included "Dance of the Fish", "Mueve Mami", and "Murder". These songs were part of his album called DJ Pablito presents Aldo Ranks.
After this, he went on a music tour across South America. He also created more popular songs like "The Party", "Pa Rum to the World", "Carousing", and "I Cannot Forget You".
Carnival Anthems
In 2006, Aldo Ranks released his third album. It featured popular songs like "The Undertakers", "The Street", and "The Helicopter". One of his songs, "The Nipper", became the official song for the Panamanian Carnival that year!
The next year, in 2007, he did it again. He worked with producer DJ Greg to create another song for the carnival.
Awards and New Sounds
In 2009, Aldo Ranks received a special award from the American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers (ASCAP). This award was for his help in writing the song "Forgive". This song was performed by The Factory and Eddy Lover.
Also in 2009, he released a song called "Trac Trac Trucutu". This song showed a new style, mixing reggae music with electronic beats.
In 2010, Aldo Ranks worked with another Panamanian artist named Arthur. They created a song together that had a classic reggae feel, again produced by DJ Greg.
