Aled Brew (born August 9, 1986) is a former Welsh rugby player. He played as a winger. Aled played for the Wales national rugby union team. His first game was against Ireland in 2007. He is one of the few players to have played for all four top Welsh regional teams. He also played for clubs in France and England.

Aled Brew was born in Cardiff, Wales. His mother was Welsh and his father was Ghanaian. He grew up speaking the Welsh language. His older brother, Nathan Brew, also played rugby professionally.
Aled Brew's Club Rugby Career
Aled Brew started his semi-professional rugby journey. He played for Neath and Swansea RFC. At 17, he joined the Ospreys team.
Playing for the Dragons
In the 2006-2007 season, Aled was loaned to the Newport Gwent Dragons. He scored 65 points for them, including 13 tries. He played alongside his brother, Nathan. After this, he returned to the Ospreys. It was hard to get a regular spot due to strong competition.
Moving to Cardiff Blues and Back to Dragons
In May 2008, Brew signed with Cardiff Blues. He played only one game in the 2008-2009 season. He was then loaned to Pontypridd RFC and the Dragons. The next season, he went back to play for the Dragons.
Playing in France and England
In 2012, Aled Brew signed with a French club, Biarritz Olympique. He played there for two seasons. In 2014, he rejoined the Newport Gwent Dragons. After two more seasons, he moved to England. He signed a short-term contract with Bath in 2016. He later signed a permanent deal and played for Bath for four seasons.
Retirement from Rugby
In September 2020, Brew joined the Scarlets team. He played only one match there. In December 2020, he announced his retirement from rugby. When he retired, he held the Dragons' record for most tries scored, with 43 tries.
Aled Brew's International Rugby Career
Aled Brew played for Wales at different age levels. He represented Wales Under-16, Under-18, and Under-21 teams. He also played for the Wales Sevens team.
Making his Senior Wales Debut
He was called up to the senior Wales squad in 2007. He made his first senior appearance against Ireland. He also played in a match against Australia in May 2007. Brew was considered for the 2007 Rugby World Cup squad. However, he did not make the final team.
Rugby Sevens Success
Aled Brew played for the Wales Sevens team in 2007-2008. They won the Bowl trophy in South Africa. He was also part of the Wales Sevens team that won the Melrose Cup in 2009. This was at the 2009 Rugby World Cup Sevens.
Later International Appearances
In November 2010, Brew was called back to the Wales national squad. He started a game against Fiji. He scored his first international try against the Barbarians on June 4, 2011. In August 2011, he was named in the Wales squad for the 2011 Rugby World Cup in New Zealand.
