Alejandro Francisco Alonso Gancedo (born 14 February 1999) is a talented Spanish field hockey player. He plays as a defender for the División de Honor club Tenis. Alejandro also represents the Spanish national team.

Playing for Spain: International Matches
Alejandro Alonso started playing for the senior national team in February 2021. His first big game was a FIH Pro League match against Belgium.
Major Tournaments and Olympic Games
On 25 May 2021, Alejandro was chosen to join the team for the 2021 EuroHockey Championship. This was his first major tournament with the senior team. He also had the amazing experience of competing in the 2020 Summer Olympics. Alejandro made his first appearance in a World Cup at the 2023 Men's FIH Hockey World Cup.
