Alexander Assefa (born 1983) is an American politician. He was a member of the Nevada Assembly, representing the 42nd district. He served in this role from 2018 to 2021.

Early Life and Education
Alexander Assefa was born in 1983 in Dodola, Ethiopia. He later moved to the United States. He attended Averett University in Danville, Virginia. There, he earned a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in political science.
Career in Public Service
Before becoming a politician, Alexander Assefa was a licensed pilot. He also worked as a political advisor. This role was for the Ethiopian Community Center in Las Vegas.
Serving in the Nevada Assembly
In 2018, Alexander Assefa was elected to the Nevada Assembly. This is a part of the state's government. He began representing the 42nd district on November 7, 2018. In this role, he helped make laws for the state of Nevada.
