Alexandria Anderson (born January 28, 1987) is an American track and field athlete. She is a sprinter who is very good at the 100-meter dash and 200-meter dash. In 2011, she was the American champion in the 60-meter dash.

Early Life and Running Journey
Alexandria grew up in Chicago. She started running when she was only six years old. She would race against boys in the streets! She later joined a summer track team. This is when she truly fell in love with the sport. Before focusing on track, she also won four city volleyball titles. She played volleyball at Morgan Park High School.
College Career and Achievements
Alexandria became an All-American athlete at the University of Texas. She ran for the Texas Longhorns team. In 2009, during her last year of college, she won the NCAA outdoor 100-meter race. The NCAA is a big sports organization for college athletes.
International Competitions
Alexandria has competed for the United States in many big races. She was part of the 4x100 meter relay team. This is a race where four runners each run 100 meters. She was an alternate runner in the 2009 IAAF World Championships in Athletics. She also ran in the 2011 World Championships in Athletics.
In 2009, she ran the second part of the relay race. However, her team was disqualified because of a mistake during a hand-off. But in 2011, she helped her team win a gold medal! She ran the final part of the relay in the early rounds. Her team finished in a very fast time of 41.94 seconds in Daegu.
