Ali Germaine Landry (born July 21, 1973) is an American actress, model, and beauty pageant winner. She is best known for winning the title of Miss USA 1996.
Landry became famous across the country as the "Doritos Girl" in a popular Super Bowl commercial in 1998. That same year, People magazine named her one of the 50 most beautiful people in the world. She also played the character Rita Lefleur on the TV show Eve.

Early Life and Education
Ali Landry was born in Breaux Bridge, Louisiana, and grew up in the nearby town of Cecilia. Her parents are Renella and Gene Allen Landry, and she is of French (Cajun) heritage. Her mother named her Ali after seeing the actress Ali MacGraw in the movie Love Story.
She went to Cecilia High School and was the captain of the cheerleading squad. After graduating in 1991, she studied at the University of Southwestern Louisiana (now the University of Louisiana at Lafayette), where she majored in mass communication.
Pageant Career
Landry's journey in beauty pageants began in 1990 when she won the title of Miss Louisiana Teen USA. She then competed in the Miss Teen USA 1990 pageant, where she made it to the top 12 finalists.
A few years later, in 1995, she won the Miss Louisiana USA title. This made her the first woman to have held both the Miss Louisiana Teen USA and Miss Louisiana USA titles.
Winning Miss USA
In February 1996, Landry competed in the Miss USA 1996 pageant. She performed very well in the competition and was crowned Miss USA 1996. She was the first former Miss Teen USA contestant to win the Miss USA title.
As Miss USA, she went on to represent the United States in the Miss Universe 1996 pageant. She placed in the top 6 finalists in that international competition.
Career After Pageants
After her pageant wins, Ali Landry became a successful model and actress. She appeared in many magazines and was a spokesperson for Doritos chips. Her commercials during the 1998, 1999, and 2000 Super Bowl games were very popular.
Television and Hosting
Landry has appeared in many TV shows. From 2003 to 2006, she was a main character on the sitcom Eve. She also hosted the second season of the hidden-camera show Spy TV in 2002.
She has also hosted shows for Yahoo! where she interviewed celebrity mothers about parenting. In 2011, she starred in and produced a show called Hollywood Moms' Club.
Personal Life
Ali Landry was briefly married to actor Mario Lopez in 2004.
In 2006, she married film director Alejandro Gómez Monteverde. They have three children together: a daughter named Estela, born in 2007, and two sons, Marcelo and Valentin, born in 2011 and 2013.
Film and Television Roles
Landry and her husband, Alejandro Monteverde, worked together on the movie Bella. Monteverde directed the film, which won awards at the Toronto International Film Festival.
