Alice's Curious Labyrinth is a fun hedge maze attraction. You can find it at the Disneyland Park inside Disneyland Paris. It opened in 1992, the same year the park did. This maze is part of the British-themed area of Fantasyland.

A similar maze also exists at Shanghai Disneyland Park. It is based on the Disney films Alice in Wonderland (1951) and Alice in Wonderland (2010). Both are inspired by Lewis Carroll's famous book, Alice in Wonderland.

Exploring the Labyrinth in Paris

This amazing hedge maze is designed to look like scenes and characters from the 1951 Disney movie Alice in Wonderland. The maze has two main parts. The first part shows some of Alice's adventures before she meets the Queen of Hearts. The second part is all about Alice's meeting with the Queen. The Queen had her own maze in the film, which this part is based on.

The main goal of the maze is to reach the Queen of Hearts's Castle. From the top of the castle, you get a cool view of the Fantasyland section of the park! You can also leave the maze before entering the second part if you want. The maze itself is shaped a bit like the Cheshire Cat. There's even a plant-made face of the Cheshire Cat right next to the attraction.

Journey Through Tulgey Wood

The first part of the Labyrinth is usually easier to navigate. It focuses on Alice's journey through the strange world of Wonderland. Your adventure begins when you enter the White Rabbit's Hole.

You then find yourself in a mysterious wood. Here, you'll see strange animals and doors of all different sizes. Some doors are so small, only kids can open them! You'll also spot signs pointing in confusing directions. Next, you walk under fountains that spray gentle streams of water over your head.

After that, you'll discover the Caterpillar's Mushroom Lair. You can see the Caterpillar smoking his hookah and hear famous quotes from the movie. Finally, you'll enter the Caucus-Race, led by the Dodo Bird. You'll circle around him with other animals, just like in the movie scene. This first part of the Labyrinth ends with a small "Cheshire Cat Walk" Maze. You'll also see the scene where card soldiers are busy painting white roses red.

Facing the Queen of Hearts's Maze

This is the second and more challenging part of the Labyrinth. It looks like the Queen's own maze from the movie. As you wander through it, the Queen or her card soldiers might pop out! She might even shout her famous line, "Off with their heads!"

The Queen's Castle stands tall in the middle of this maze. When you finally reach it, you can climb to the top. From there, you get an amazing view of Fantasyland! There used to be a slide on the side of the Castle for kids to go down. However, it was removed for safety reasons shortly after the park first opened.

March Hare Refreshments

Near the maze, you'll find a place that looks like the Tea Party from the movie. This area is called March Hare Refreshments. Here, you can grab a drink close to the March Hare's house. Just like at Walt Disney World and Tokyo Disneyland, you can spot the Dormouse. He pops his head out of a giant teapot! The March Hare himself isn't there, but you can see him on the sign above the doorway. The attraction Mad Hatter's Tea Cups is also very close to this house. When Disneyland Paris first opened in April 1992, March Hare Refreshments sold special "Unbirthday Cakes."
