Sculptures Made from Books
Alicia Martín is best known for her sculptures using books. Her first book sculpture was in Madrid. It was at a place called Casa de America.
Her second big book sculpture was in Córdoba. This artwork was huge! It was made from 5,000 books. People donated these books for her art. The sculpture was about 5.5 meters tall. That's taller than a giraffe!
It took eight people two days to build it. The books looked like they were pouring out of a window. They seemed to flow from the Molino de San Antonio building. It was as if the books were trying to fill the River Guadalquivir with their stories.

One of her artworks is an installation made of wood and books. It shows a large pile of books. They seem to push against a wall in a room. The museum thought this artwork was "disturbing" in a good way. It made people feel like time had stopped.
Her art can be found in other places too. These include the Biblioteca de Alejandría in Egypt. Also, the Museum Voorlinden in The Hague has her work.
