Becoming an All-American Athlete
During her four years at Carthage College, Alie was named an NCAA All-American 17 times! This means she was recognized as one of the best college athletes in the country for her events.

In 2005, she was named the "most valuable performer" at the CCIW Indoor Track and Field Championship. This award goes to the athlete who performs the best at the event.
Hall of Fame Recognition
Because of her amazing achievements, Alie "Muffy" Israel was honored in 2011. She was inducted into Carthage College's Athletic Hall of Fame. This is a special award for athletes who have made a big impact on their college's sports history.

Returning to Competition
After taking a break from serious competition for more than two years, Alie Israel returned to the track. In 2008, she qualified for the USA Indoor Championships. She also matched her personal best in the 100m and set a new personal record in the 200m at the Jim Bush Invitational. Her times were 11.71 seconds for the 100m and 24.19 seconds for the 200m.
Improving Her Speed
In 2009, Alie continued to get faster. She set new indoor personal bests: 6.94 seconds in the 55m dash and 7.38 seconds in the 60m dash. She also competed in the 2009 USA Indoor Championships, where she finished eighth in the 60m dash.
During the outdoor season in 2009, Alie kept improving. She set five new personal records in the 100m dash. She ended the season with a new personal best of 11.53 seconds for the 100m dash and 23.72 seconds for the 200m dash.
