Alie "Muffy" Israel is an American track runner. She was known as Muffy Israel during her college years. She is famous for her incredible speed in short-distance races.

College Star
Alie Israel had a super successful time at Carthage College. She became one of their most celebrated athletes. During her four years, she earned "All-America" honors 17 times. This means she was recognized as one of the best college athletes in the country.
As a freshman in 2002, she won a national title in the outdoor 100-meter dash. She also placed high in other races. These included the 200-meter dash and relay teams. She also did well in indoor events.
In 2003, she helped her 400-meter relay team win a national championship. She continued to place in the top eight in many individual races. This showed her consistent talent.
By 2004, Israel was the national runner-up in the 100-meter dash. She kept earning high finishes in other events. As a senior in 2005, she continued her strong performance. She placed second with her 400-meter relay team.
Alie Israel also won 16 individual titles in her college conference. This included winning the outdoor 100-meter dash four years in a row. She was named the "most valuable performer" in 2005. This was for the CCIW Indoor Track and Field Championship.
In 2011, Alie "Muffy" Israel was honored for her achievements. She was inducted into Carthage College's Athletic Hall of Fame.

During the outdoor season of 2009, Alie kept getting faster. She set five new personal bests in the 100m dash. She finished the season with a new best of 11.53 seconds for the 100m. Her 200m best became 23.72 seconds.
