Early Life and Studies
Alina Sanko was born in a city called Azov in Russia. Before she won Miss Russia, she lived in Moscow. She studied architecture at a university there. It was called the Moscow State University of Land Management. Alina also worked as a model for online stores.
Her Journey in Beauty Contests
Winning Miss Russia
In 2019, Alina Sanko represented her hometown, Azov. She competed in the Miss Russia 2019 contest. She won the competition! Alina took over the title from the previous winner, Yulia Polyachikhina. The second and third place winners were Arina Verina and Ralina Arabova. As part of her prize, Alina received a brand new car. She also got ₽3 million, which is Russian money.
Representing Russia Internationally
As Miss Russia, Alina was supposed to represent her country. She planned to go to both Miss World 2019 and Miss Universe 2019. However, the dates for the contests were too close together. Because of this, she only competed in Miss World. Russia decided not to send a contestant to Miss Universe that year. This was because the contest dates were announced late. It made it hard to find a new person or get a travel visa for Alina. Later, in March 2021, it was confirmed. Alina Sanko would represent Russia at Miss Universe 2020.
