What Was All For Latvia!
All For Latvia! began as a group for young people in the year 2000. They focused on political ideas. In January 2006, it officially became a political party.
Joining the Elections
The party took part in the elections in 2006. They received a small number of votes, about 1.48%. This was not enough for them to win any seats in the parliament. The main leaders of the party were Raivis Dzintars and Imants Parādnieks.
What All For Latvia! Believed In
The party had clear ideas about how Latvia should be run.
- They wanted to make the rules for becoming a Latvian citizen stricter. This would make it harder for people who were not already citizens to gain citizenship.
- They also did not like the idea of "European federalism." This means they did not want European countries to become too united, like one big country. They wanted Latvia to stay very independent.
Becoming Part of a Bigger Party
In 2011, All For Latvia! joined with another political party. This party was called For Fatherland and Freedom. Together, they formed a new, larger party. This new group was named the National Alliance.
