All Saints' Church, St Andrews is a special church located on North Castle Street in St Andrews, Fife, Scotland. It's an active church for the Scottish Episcopal Church and is considered a very important historical building, known as a Category A listed building.

Building the Church

The very first church building on this spot was a temporary one. It was made of iron by a company called Spiers of Glasgow in May 1903. This iron church could hold about 150 people.

People wanted a more permanent church, so the first stone for the new building was laid on March 11, 1907. In that same year, a part of the church called the chancel (where the altar is) and a belltower were built. These parts were designed by an architect from Chester named John Douglas. The original iron church was then moved and used to form the main part of the church, called the nave.

Later, in June 1920, the foundation stone for a brand new nave was laid. This new section was designed by Paul Waterhouse. The completed church was officially opened and blessed on November 1, 1923.

Who Leads the Church Now?

The current leader of All Saints' Church is a person called Alasdair Coles. He is the rector, which is like the main priest in charge.
