The Cheese World Museum is a fun place to visit in Allansford, Victoria. It's part of a bigger tourist spot called the Allansford Cheese World Tourist Complex. This museum shows off cool items and displays about farming and how Australia's dairy industry grew. You can see old tools used to make cheese and butter!

The museum is built right where the first Warrnambool Cheese and Butter factory started in 1888. It tells the story of this company and how dairy farming became a big deal in Victoria from the early 1900s. It's like stepping back in time to see how milk became cheese and butter!

Engines and Old Cars

Besides dairy history, the museum also has a huge collection of old engines and car parts. These items were given to the museum by people who love old vehicles. The Warrnambool & District Historical Vehicle Club helps keep them in great shape.

The Dave Lee Engine Collection

One special part of this collection is the Dave Lee Vintage Engine Collection. Dave Lee was a person who dug water holes and sold windmills in the Warrnambool area. He donated over 110 engines! You can even see a big Ruston & Hornsby tractor engine there. It's amazing to see how these old machines worked.

Museum Achievements

The Cheese World Museum has been recognized for its hard work. In 2014, it was nominated for the Archival Survival award. This award is for museums that are run by volunteers, which means people who give their time to help out. It shows how much effort the community puts into keeping this museum special.
