Allistair Pickett (born 4 August 1973) is a talented Australian rules footballer. He is famous for playing with the Subiaco team in the WAFL. Allistair won the important Sandover Medal award two times, in 2002 and 2004. This shows he was one of the best players in the league during those years.

Allistair's Football Journey

Allistair Pickett was a small but very fast player. He was known as a "rover" because he moved all over the field. He started his football career in the 1990s with the West Perth team. He played a few games there but had some injuries.

In 2001, Allistair joined the Peel Thunder team. The very next year, he made history. He became the first player from Peel Thunder to win a Sandover Medal. This award goes to the fairest and best player in the WAFL.

Allistair then moved to the Subiaco team in 2003. Here, he had even more success. He won his second Sandover Medal in 2004. He also helped Subiaco win four "premierships." A premiership means winning the league championship. He won these in 2004, 2006, 2007, and 2008.

In 2008, Allistair Pickett was honored by Subiaco. He was named in their official 'Team of the Century.' This means he was one of the best players in the club's long history. He was chosen to play in the "forward pocket" position.

In early 2009, Allistair also played for a short time with the Nightcliff team. This team plays in the Northern Territory Football League.

About Allistair's Family

Allistair Pickett is married and has four children. His oldest son, Alliston, also played football for Subiaco. In July 2010, they made WAFL history together. They were the first father and son to play in the same league game. This was a very special moment for them both.

Allistair is also related to other famous Australian rules footballers. These include Byron Pickett and Jeff Farmer. Allistair is even given credit for giving Jeff Farmer his famous nickname, "Wizard."
