Alpha, Oregon facts for kids
Alpha is a small place in Lane County, Oregon. It is called an "unincorporated community." This means it's a group of homes and businesses that doesn't have its own local government. Instead, it's part of the larger county.
History of Alpha
Alpha got its start a long time ago. A post office opened there in 1890. This was a very important place for people to send and receive letters and packages. The post office stayed open for many years, until 1940. The community was named after a local girl named Alpha Lundey.
