Alto Vetro is a modern, tall building located in Dublin, Republic of Ireland. It stands 16 storeys high and is mainly used for homes. It offers a unique living experience in the city's busy Grand Canal Dock area.

What is Alto Vetro?
Alto Vetro is a 16-storey building found on the west side of Grand Canal Dock in Dublin. It is located just south of MacMahon Bridge. The building is mostly made up of apartments.
Homes and Shops Inside
Inside Alto Vetro, there are 26 apartments. Most of these, 24 of them, have two bedrooms. There are two of these apartments on each floor. The very top two apartments are special. They are three-bedroom penthouses that spread over three floors, called triplex penthouses. On the ground floor, you can find a coffee shop and a barbers.
History and Recognition
Alto Vetro was built by the Sisk Group. It was developed by a company called Treasury Holdings. This building has received an important award.
Awards and Design
Alto Vetro won the Silver Medal for Housing. This award was given by the Royal Institute of the Architects of Ireland (RIAI) for buildings completed between 2007 and 2008. This shows that the building is well-designed and a great place to live.
Related Buildings
Treasury Holdings also developed another famous building nearby. This was Montevetro, which is now known as Google Docks. It is the headquarters for Google. This building is located on Barrow Street, across the canal basin from Alto Vetro. There was also a plan for a third building in this series, called Aqua Vetro. This building was meant to be built near Tara Street railway station. However, construction for Aqua Vetro never started.
Ownership Changes
In 2014, Alto Vetro was sold. It was bought by a company called Kennedy Wilson Europe.
