The History of Alum
People first started living in the area known as Alum before the year 1900. The community got its name from a nearby stream called Alum Creek.
For some time, Alum was a small but active place. However, as years passed, fewer and fewer people lived there. By the 1990s, only a few houses remained. Eventually, before the year 2000, everyone moved away, and Alum became a true ghost town.
