Alvin Batiste (born November 7, 1932 – died May 6, 2007) was an amazing American jazz clarinet player. He was born in New Orleans, Louisiana, in the United States. He was also a very important teacher. He taught many famous musicians at his own jazz institute. This institute was at Southern University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
His last music album was a special tribute. It was produced by Branford Marsalis, who is a well-known musician. Other great artists like Russell Malone and Herlin Riley also played on it.
