Amanda Adams, born on September 12, 1976, is an American author and an archaeologist. An archaeologist is someone who studies human history by digging up old sites and artifacts. Before becoming an author and archaeologist, she was also a fashion model. She even appeared in a Buffalo Jeans ad campaign in 1996.

Her Education Journey
Amanda Adams studied at the University of California, Berkeley in the late 1990s. She focused on anthropology, which is the study of human societies and cultures. She did very well and even won the Kroeber prize for her work.
Later, she earned a master's degree in archaeology from the University of British Columbia in Vancouver. Her master's paper was called Visions Cast on Stone. Parts of her paper were published in a journal called The Midden.
Her Books
Amanda Adams has written several interesting books. Her first book, A Mermaid's Tale, explores mermaid legends from all over the world. This book was highly praised and even received a special review from Booklist.
Her second book, Ladies of the Field, tells the exciting stories of some of the first women archaeologists. It shares their adventures and discoveries in the field of archaeology.
