Amber Nicole Holcomb (born March 17, 1994) is an American singer. She became well-known after finishing in fourth place on the twelfth season of American Idol.

Early Life and Music Beginnings
Amber Nicole Holcomb was born in Houston, Texas, on March 17, 1994. She started singing at a very young age, around two years old, in her church. Amber went to Dekaney High School and graduated in 2012.
Amber's Journey on American Idol
Amber Holcomb tried out for American Idol twice. She first auditioned for the eleventh season but didn't make it past the Las Vegas round.
Auditions and Semi-Finals
She returned for the twelfth season of American Idol. During the Las Vegas sudden death rounds, Amber sang "My Funny Valentine". Her performance was so good that all the judges gave her a standing ovation. In the semi-finals, she also sang "I Believe in You and Me" and again received a standing ovation from all the judges.
Making it to the Top 4
Amber showed off her singing talent throughout the competition. She performed many different songs, from "A Moment Like This" by Kelly Clarkson to "She's Leaving Home" by The Beatles. She often impressed the judges and viewers with her powerful voice. Amber made it all the way to the Top 4 contestants. She was eliminated on May 2, 2013, after performing songs like "Just Give Me a Reason" by Pink. As her goodbye song, she sang "I Believe in You and Me".
After American Idol
After her time on American Idol, Amber Holcomb joined the American Idols LIVE! Tour 2013. This tour traveled across the country from July 19 to August 31, 2013, allowing fans to see their favorite contestants perform live.
Years later, on April 7, 2016, Amber returned to the American Idol stage. She performed "Here, There and Everywhere" with fellow Idol winner Ruben Studdard during the show's fifteenth season finale.
